The inquest into the death of Habib Ullah has been abandoned midway through – after it emerged a solicitor had advised police officers to alter their statements the day after the incident.
Habib Ullah’s inquest commenced on 6th December, and will run to 15th December 2010 @ the Evreham Centre, Iver near Slough. Attend the inquest and pledge your support to come to one sitting – most days there will be a morning and afternoon session.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has identified “collective and organisational failings” in the Metropolitan police’s treatment of a teenager who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend after telling them she feared for her life.
Members of a dock workers union rallied on Saturday in support of an unarmed black man killed by a white transit police officer in Oakland. Hundreds of people attended the rally for Oscar Grant in front of Oakland City Hall, some holding signs that read, “We are Oscar Grant.”

A policeman who was jailed for assault after being caught on CCTV throwing a 57-year-old woman into a cell is back on full pay, it has emerged. Sergeant Mark Andrews, 37, was filmed dragging Pamela Somerville through Melksham police station in Wiltshire.
Olaseni Lewis, known to his family as Seni, was a young black man aged 23 years, engaged in post-graduate Masters studies in IT and Business Management at Kingston University. He had no prior history of mental illness or any untoward behaviour until the evening of Sunday 29 August 2010 when his family and friends noticed that he was behaving strangely.
