On Monday 17 December 2018 IWOC London and friends hosted a screening of INJUSTICE – Ken Fero’s award winning documentary about the struggles for justice by the families of people that have died in police custody.

UFFC 20th Anniversary conference and rally (held October 2018)
This year the United Families marked the 20th year of the annual rally and protest by also holding a conference on 26 October, followed by the rally on 27 October from Trafalgar Square to 10 Downing Street.

BBC renovation series DIY SOS is doing a two-part special for the community around Grenfell Tower, with Nick Knowles and the team working to build a boxing club and multi-use community space following the tragic fire last year.
Event: Memorial event held 25 years after Joy Gardner’s killing
A well-attended memorial event, “Justice Denied – The Life and Times of Joy Gardner,” marked 25 years since the 1993 murder of Jamaican mother Joy Gardner by the British government’s Alien Deportation Squad.

Just as Doreen and Neville Lawrence have conducted themselves with such exemplary dignity over the quarter-century since their eldest child, Stephen, was murdered, so too did the makers of the BBC’s Stephen: the Murder that Changed a Nation.
Families march for justice after deaths in police [and other] custody
The annual United Families and Friends Campaign (UFFC) held its annual march in central London on Saturday. The event commemorates the victims of police and state violence, saw 200 people march from Trafalgar Square to 10 Downing Street.

Update on the Film Club
The last 4WardEverUK Film 4 Thought screening was held in December 2015 after a run of almost 18 months. We very much hope to see a return of the Film Club as we explore possible new partnerships.
