National Family Fund
With thanks to funding from INQUEST and Black Lives Matter UK for the Memorial Family Fund, they have recently appointed four new sessional team members to carry forward their ambitious plans.
The fifth National Memorial Family Fund (NMPMFF) grant round closed on 7 May 2022. In this round the assessment team also awarded several Crisis Grants as well as awards from the UFFC Legacy Fund.
The National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund (NMPMFF) launched its new ‘Two-Way Give-Back Online Shop’ in August 2021 with additional support from the United Families & Friends Campaign (UFFC).
We are pleased to announce that the fifth round of National Memorial Family Fund grants will open on 7 April 2022. We are also administering the UFFC Legacy Fund for child dependents of custody death victims.
The National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund is the first permanent national resource of its kind specifically for those that are affected by deaths and killings in custody. It was first launched in 2015.
The third Memorial Family Fund grant round closed on 7 December 2021, and successfully allocated £11,940 in grants. In this round the assessment team also awarded several Crisis Fund grants.
INQUEST has donated £7,500 in grant funding to the National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund (NMPMFF) to further our development of the Family Fund Annual Gala Dinner & Awards initiative.
