First Stop has already worked with campaign group 4WardEverUK to provide a free web design service for families affected by deaths in custody, and now wants to do what it can to support the ongoing appeals to raise much needed funds for the initiative.
The National Memorial Family Fund is the first permanent national resource of its kind specifically for those that are affected by deaths in custody. It will make small grants available for families and their campaign groups across the United Kingdom to provide practical domestic assistance, to further the work of their own campaigns or to assist them in engaging in a range of other local, regional or national campaigns, events and initiatives.
Larry Fedja, a freelance design associate with First Stop said;
“First Stop has always operated on the basis that it is not just a trading collective, but also has a responsibility to support social action wherever it is able to.
“We hope that our small gesture will encourage others to give what little they can to support the hundreds of families and children that have been bereaved.”
First stop will introduce the arrangement from April 2020 for an undisclosed period.
