The last 4WardEverUK Film 4 Thought screening was held in December 2015 after a run of almost 18 months. We very much hope to see a return of the Film Club as we explore possible new partnerships.

If you (or someone you know of) is interested in volunteering to assist us with this, you can see the listed details here of all current 4WardEverUK volunteer opportunities.

The Background:

In collaboration with The Drum Arts Centre; Birmingham, 4WardEver UK formerly launched its monthly film club in November 2014 (although there were some screenings prior to this), bringing powerful independent films to Birmingham. We screened socially conscious cinema, hosting debates with key figures campaigning for change, raising awareness and calling people to action.

We saw these film screenings as an important avenue to raise crucial civil society concerns, initiate conversations and dialogue, and evolve public discourse around them. The past films all illustrated a version of history that those in power seek to erase or keep hidden from view.

Films screened included; Who Polices the Police, Concerning Violence, Who Killed Colin Roach? and others.

We formerly launched the Film Club with a new film, ‘BURN’, from the documentary filmmaker Ken Fero – on Thursday 13 November 2014. Ken is a multi-award winning radical documentary filmmaker and activist.

Join the Film Club mailing list for future development updates.
