To mark its 10th anniversary, 4WardEverUK will be making some major changes to its UK-based outward work focus and involvement in 2017 and the years beyond.

We are moving into the co-production of a range of semi-commercial events, community services and activities in collaboration with Migrant Media, Red Earth Collective, StereoHype and others, designed to provide edutainment through arts, drama, music, film and spoken word to communities across the United Kingdom.

We will provide a small range of professional services such as web design and advertising promotions in partnership Jaja Artz and sister organisation First Stop Web Design.

These are all designed to help generate income to support the development and expansion of The National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund and the Red Alert HELP online support portal + helpline.

We will be working cooperatively to assist in the development of two major West Midlands programmes, Catalyst 4 Change and the Mentoring & Advocacy Support Hub (MASH).

Core 4WardEverUK members will be taking a lesser role with research and media projects, at ‘talking’ events etc, and instead focusing our energies on practical programmes that;

  1. Expose the public to custody deaths and injustice issues via semi-commercial arts & music / events
  2. Make a real and practical difference to affected families, children and young people locally and nationally
  3. Directly lobby / consult and collaborate with a broad range of business, statutory and local government services

The 4WardEverUK website will continue to provide a one-stop-resource for case profiles, news and event details, useful resources, statistics, appeals, and more in relation to deaths and abuses whilst in custody; including the death penalty, other injustices and human rights abuses in the UK and internationally.

Onward in 2017 and beyond…
