Join us on Thursday 4th December 2014 for the screening of ‘Our Currency in Information,’ followed by a second short film.
Our currency is Information is the first episode of the documentary film series Exposing the Invisible by Tactical Technologies. There are three films in the series that tell the personal stories of those working at the new frontiers of investigation. In this episode you will learn about methods for investigating corruption and organised crime. You will meet Paul Radu from the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, one of the most inspiring investigative reporters from Romania.
In addition to ‘Our Currency is Information’, we will also show another short film, ‘Unseen War’. They are both in the same series of films called Exposing the Invisible by Tactical Technologies.
About Unseen War:
This film explores the physical, moral and political invisibility of US drone warfare. How much do we need to know to care or act? What needs to be in place to make the invisible visible?
In this film, journalists, activists and experts inside and outside Pakistan speak about the consequences of the US-deployed drone strikes in the tribal area of Pakistan (FATA), why they are possible and how we can make the issue more visible using data and visualisation tactics.
Event to be hosted by The Drum, Birmingham.
