Rally & Prozession – Oktober 2012 >

4WardEver UK commends the United Families & Friends Campaign for pulling off a successful and peaceful rally and demonstration in London on Saturday 27th October 2012 in Central London. Hundreds of families, friends and supporters attended the event including Defend the Right to Protest, Linton Kwesi-Johnson, 4WardEver UK, Birmingham Strong Justice4All, InQuest, Black Mental Health UK and many others.

Noch einmal, dieses Jahr, Wie jedes Jahr Hunderte für die jährliche Marsch gegen Todesfälle in Polizeigewahrsam in Großbritannien gesammelt. Most of those here are family members who say they have lost loved ones at the hands of the police. Like the family of Sean Riggs who died on 21 August 2008. A 40-year old musician, he was arrested in the street by four officers and taken to a nearby police station.

Although numbers were small as there was no official organising of this, das 11. Jahr des Marsches,families that attended were determined to continue.

The Annual United Families & Friends Campaign commemorating 10 years of struggle! Hundreds of people have died in custody in Britain over the last 30+ Jahr. A disproportionate number of these were African-Caribbean men.
