Dhuluma & MOVE at The Custard Factory

On the 10th July 2007, Indymedia Birmingham, in conjunction with the Kampeni ya Mikey Powell, screened INJUSTICE, a powerful film about deaths in police custody, and a short filmed interview with Ramona Africa of the US based MOVE group.

The screening, which was held at the Custard Factory in Digbeth, Birmingham, was preceded and followed by talks by Tippa Naphtali, a cousin of Mikey Powell, who died at the hands of police in Handsworth, Birmingham, katika 2003.

About MOVE

Kumi na moja watu, ikiwa ni pamoja na watoto watano, perished in a blaze after the State of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on a house owned by members of MOVE. Sitini moja nyumba kuchomwa moto kwa ardhi katika siku hiyo Infamous, 13Mei 1985. Ramona Afrika, was the only adult MOVE survivor of the siege.
