MALJUSTO & MOVE at The Custard Factory

On the 10th July 2007, Indymedia Birmingham, in conjunction with the Mikey Powell Kampanjo, screened INJUSTICE, a powerful film about deaths in police custody, and a short filmed interview with Ramona Africa of the US based MOVE group.

The screening, which was held at the Custard Factory in Digbeth, Birmingham, was preceded and followed by talks by Tippa Naphtali, a cousin of Mikey Powell, who died at the hands of police in Handsworth, Birmingham, Je 2003.

About MOVE

Eleven people, including five children, perished in a blaze after the State of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on a house owned by members of MOVE. Sixty one houses burned to the ground on that infamous day, 13Th majo 1985. Ramona Africa, was the only adult MOVE survivor of the siege.
