Impact of INJUSTICE
July 2006 marked 5 years since the release of INJUSTICE. The film has continued to succeed despite the attempts by the police to suppress it.

Restraint ‘by law’
In 2004 15 year old Gareth Myatt died whilst being “restrained” by three members of staff at a privatized children’s prison called Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre in Warwickshire. In the same year 14 year old Adam Rickwood hanged himself in another privatized children’s jail, Hassockfield Secure Training Centre in Co. Durham.

Their Memory Lingers On
Richard Horton wrote an article for The New York Review of Books entitled The Palestinian Medical crisis. With the unrestrained and uninflected language of medicine whilst maintaining the cool sensibility of a doctor he documented the humanitarian crisis that was occurring and has now been accelerated in Palestine.

The battle between police and residents in Brixton in April 1981 was the most significant outbreak of civil disorder in 20th century London. The disturbances influenced similar outbreaks in the cities of Liverpool, Bradford and Birmingham.
