UFFC e-Petition

The United Families & Vrienden Campagne (UFFC) calls for an independent judicial inquiry into all suspicious deaths in custody.

Het United Families & Vrienden Campagne (UFFC) is a coalition of families and friends of those that have died in the custody of police and prison officers as well as those who died while detained under the Mental Health Act, in psychiatric and immigration detention. Het heeft ook leden en sympathisanten van actiegroepen en belangenorganisaties uit heel het Verenigd Koninkrijk.

Het Independent Advisory Panel over sterfgevallen in gevangenschap rapport van 2011 staten: in totaal, er waren 5,998 sterfgevallen opgenomen voor het 11 jaar 2000 op 2010. Dit is een gemiddeld 545 doden per jaar. Ondanks zijn er 11 onwettig doden uitspraken sinds 1990 er is nog nooit een succesvolle vervolging.

The communities response to this petition was poor (just 1,846 handtekeningen) but we move on with our initiatives, campaigning and lobbying nevertheless!
