A year after the death of Kingsley Burrell no one has been charged and his body has still not been released to his grieving family for burial.

We march for Justice Birmingham 18th August 2012, 12 noon. More details to follow. Please share and begin preparations to travel the freedom road to Birmingham and support the Burrell Family.

Starting from: Summerfield Park, Icknield Port rd, off Dudley road. B16 OBT to Centenary square, Broad street, B1 2EA

Kingsley Burrell, 29, dialled 999 after being threatened by a group of men while with his young son in Icknield Port Road, Birmingham, on March 27 l'année dernière.

How did he end up at the Mary Seacole Centre, a place for those with mental illness? But at least it wasn’t a police cell, so you would imagine this was a place of safety. Who decided that the Mary Seacole Centre was the right place? Presumably staff at the centre are specialists so would be able to check if what was being told to them was correct? What care was taken of Kingley’s son during this time? Lots of question but no answers.
