My son Lloyd Butler died in police custody in August the 4th 2010.
Lloyds’ inquest is over, and the full truth is out.
However I am my son’s mother and I still have questions that have not been fully answered.

I was given three reasons why the custody Sergeant who was found guilty of GROSS MISCONDUCT and failed my son in his duty of care to him?

Reason 1. Cost to the force (training an officer to the standard of a custody Sergeant)
Reason 2. The fact that the custody Sergeant was willing to be cross examined at his hearing?
Reason 3. This officer was considered to be an excellent officer with a brilliant record of service?

I have always struggled with these facts, and need to seek and explore a more in depth explanation, so hopefully meeting appropriate persons may assist me with this.
