BC Coroners will conduct two autopsies this week on the bodies of two men who died Saturday while in contact with Vancouver police. Coroner Owen Court said police responded to a noise complaint in the Granville Street area and found a 23 year old barricaded inside a residence. He added the autopsy will determine whether drugs were involved in the man’s death.
Vancouver police are saying no foul play was involved.
In a separate incident, a 28 year old in the 1400-block East Broadway area allegedly slashed or stabbed himself after police arrived at the residence in response to a call about a “distraught male.”
The RCMP’s homicide division is investigating the Broadway death. Autopsy results are expected within a few weeks.
