The British Police agreed to pay £60,000 in damages to a man arrested during an anti-terror raid after High Court hearing.
The High Court heard that Babar Ahmad was subjected to “serious, gratuitous, prolonged, unjustified violence” and “religious abuse” after his arrest. Ahmad was never charged following the dawn raid at his home, but he has been held for over five years without charge or trial in a high security prison. Roshan Muhammed Salih reports from London.
