On 22nd November 2003 dozens of people chanted ‘What do we want? Réttlæti! When do we want it? Now!’ as they marched through the streets of Brixton, London to protest the death of Ricky Bishop.
Upplýsingar:
Ricky was a son, brother, father & volunteer fitness trainer. Lögreglan (under Operation Clean Sweep) stopped & searched him whilst he was a passenger in his friend’s car. Ricky was searched and no drugs were found.
He was detained but not arrested andtaken to Brixton police station where police claimed to discover his mouth was bulging full of cocaine filled plastic wrappers.
Expert witnesses/pathologists said Ricky would have needed to have taken 50 plastic wrappings of cocaine, to match the amount police claimed he had in his system.
