What’s on the web?

Outlaws Online is one of the fastest growing Prison Pen Pal site. Adding and updating profiles daily. The purpose of this site is for prisoners to find pen pals. Inmates may go without mail for years, their friends and family often forget about loved ones in prison and go about their busy lives. Inmates can be locked in a cell 23 hours a day with no outside contact or communication.
Ian Tomlinson Family Campaign
“This website and the Ian Tomlinson Family Campaign has been set up by Ian’s family. We are grateful for the huge amount of public support received since Ian’s tragic death on April 1st 2009 at the G20 protests in London. It has been very hard for our family particularly following the release of images of the police assault on Ian emerged. Ian is deeply missed by us and we simply want justice for him.”
Smart Justice for Young People
From 2009, the SmartJustice for Young People campaign will form an important part of Criminal Damage, the Prison Reform Trust’s five year programme to reduce child and youth imprisonment.
For more information about Criminal Damage visit the website.
Michigan Campaign for Justice
The Campaign for Justice is a broad-based group of organizations and individuals from across the political spectrum fighting for a fair and effective public defense system in Michigan. We believe that legislative reform is needed to improve cost effectiveness, protect the public’s safety and ensure one’s Constitutional right to counsel.
4WardEver UK was launched in 2006 by Tippa Naphtali the cousin of Mikey Powell, who died in the custody of West Midlands police, Birmingham, UK in September 2003.
Its purpose is to provide profiles, news, event details, resources and useful information, appeals, and more in relation to deaths in custody and other injustices. 4WardEver is run entirely by a small volunteer team, and funded from voluntary contributions and donations.
We support the call for reform within police, penal and mental health institutions in the UK and internationally.
