On 26th September 2006 three judges made their ruling and denied an appeal despite seven key witnesses recanting their testimony. There is evidence that Troy did not receive a fair trial.

Troy Davis was executed by the state of Georgia in September 2011 even though his serious claims of innocence have never been heard in court.
